Toronto Star “intoxicated”. Mayor Rob Ford “I’ve called you pathological liars and you are”. So which is it?
March 29th, 2013
Just posting this for the record. It’s a 40-second video clip taken from the Toronto Star video “Behind the Rob Ford story”.
This “intoxication” story and Mayor Rob Ford’s indignant denial of the Toronto Star’s allegations reminds me of what happened to me back in November 2011 when Bonnie Crombie made reckless allegations against me. The rage. The feeling of helplessness —especially when you know the powerful people in the Liberal Party (and money) who back Crombie.
So I really identify with Rob Ford this round.
The thing is I also know what a superb roster of investigative blood-hound reporters the Toronto Star has…. meaning Star reporters aren’t like Bonnie Crombie who just craps out any “For The Truth” crud simply because she knows she can.
Anyway. Don’t want to make this a long blog, so here we go.
Mayor Rob Ford calls the Toronto Star “pathological liars” for their “intoxication” allegations (41 sec)

Mayor Rob Ford, Toronto City Hall press conference, March 26, 2013
Number one, it’s an outright lie; it’s the Toronto Star going after me again and again and again.
They’re relentless, that’s fine, I’ll go head to head with the Toronto Star any time.
Let’s just wait until the election is and then we’ll see what happens.
It’s just lies after lies and lies and I’ve called you pathological liars and you are, so why don’t you take me to court? Let the courts decide. It’s about George Chuvalo today — have some respect.
Thank you very much.

@robyndoolittle a story is only as good as the dogged determination that goes into it. Great work by both u & Kevin
