Mayor Rob Ford’s “Free Alcohol Free T-Shirt” campaign launch was a BLAST! And Susan Fennell Blasted…

April 18th, 2014

I still have my Free Alcohol stub but I lucked out and was handed two FORD NATION T-shirt stubs.

While many people left as Rob Ford appeared to leave, eventually the Mayor returned to the front stage for a meet-and-greet and to pose for photographs. So a lesson for all you videographers out there.  Sometimes (as was the case here) your best shots happen after “The Show” is over. And you’ve stuck around.

It seemed to me that at least one of the things that many in last night’s audience and Rob Ford had in common was that they’re both looked down on by the “elites”.  Like Toronto, Mississauga is also run by elites —as Councillor Bonnie Crombie pointed out “the same 200 people” —and their family and closest friends...

And I can also say this: I felt far more at home at Rob Ford’s re-election campaign launch that I ever did at the December 2, 2009 “Friends of Hazel” Rally or the February 12, 2011 Mayor’s 90th Birthday Bash. It is what it is.

And speaking of GTA Mayors not talking to the Toronto Star, another video!

Hey. At least Toronto has MEDIA!

Mayor Susan Fennell, The Anatomy of "The Gloves are Off." Who was that other Brampton Council Public Question Period guy who Fennell encouraged to run for Council?
