November 16th, 2014
One of the ways I know I’ve been successful researching a subject is when I can easily draw cartoons of same. And that happened about three weeks ago. Yes. Just like that! All these cool Hazel McCallion cartoons popping up inside my head! It’s FUN!
So there’s a new documentary out on Hazel McCallion and it’s about Hazel’s mantra —that now-familiar advice to her fellow-females to “Act like a lady. Think like a man. Work like a dog.”
(“Think like a man.” I wonder if anyone ever asked her what that actually meant)…
Entirely unrelated topic:
I finally found a block of time to dig into all the Freedom of Information envelopes that have been languishing on my desk —all unopened, one as old as May 4, 2012. The one from City of Toronto is dated May 18, 2014 and was surely aimed at Rob Ford.
The rest, filed with the City of Mississauga, are the ones I’m loathe to open… Invariably they lead to more questions and more FOIs to be filed…
I’d planned to open all these envelopes on Remembrance Day. Here it is November 16th and —not a one…
But the cartoons keep coming!
